Guerrilla Knitters

I found this on one of my Daily Reads: Astrid Knits Her Way Out
Who would take the every day knitter to be such a rebel? I'm impressed!
T, I think you and your mother should start your own movement "Cosy Up
Your Town" :)
SnB Breda's Urban-Knitting-Guerrilla across the center of Breda. In several other cities there has been simular actions. Take a look at: redskirtknitting and maskerade

  1. I will show her this tonight! I wonder how long they work on each piece, if they hang around and take their time or do they have some of it done before hand? I'll have to read up on this some more.

I found this a few weeks ago on flickr and it absolutely blew my mind - you have to check it out...the time..the patience..it's overwhelming!

  3. My friend and I measured the width of poles for our textile totems and then knit pieces we then stitch onto the pole. You can see some samples on our website. www.jafagirlart.com
    Textile Totems page.

Part of the joy for us is interacting with the public who ask us what we are doing and why! The other part is we just love the creative aspect of it.
