I'm not sure where my fascination with birds comes from but I do love sweet little birds.  They daintier the better.  Maybe it's from my mom, who loves to feed the birds (& the bears) in her back yard so she can watch them as she drinks her morning coffee.  Or maybe, it's the fond memories of my grandfather drawing chickadees for me.  Drawing was like second nature to him.  It was as if they flew from his pencil onto the page.
