Post Power Lab

Well, Finn & I have completed our week of Power Lab Vacation Bible School.
Two weeks ago, I was a tad weary about whether I should have volunteered...not knowing a single soul. I'm what one might call a "overachieving introvert". If I can convince myself to put myself out there, I'm all in and go for it. It's just making the decision to do it. I'm so glad I did though. I've met sooo many great people and Finn had a blast. Being the only "Newbie", most of the jobs were already taken by previous volunteers leaving me with Test Tube Treats - which consisted of me shopping, preparing, explaining, and cleaning up snacks for 60 campers...ALL AT ONCE!!! Phew, thanks to Jen (my VBS Partner) we survived and did rather well. So well, in fact, that I mentioned I'd do it again next summer.
Happy Campers at Test Tube Snacks!

Oh, and I actually got to witness the Mentos/Soda Explosion - VERY COOL!

  1. Looks like fun. I like the tag line-"Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power". Not too often you see science and faith hand in hand like that.

And I think you hit the nail on the head with your "overachieving introvert" description, that's just one of the things I love about you;)

  2. Fun! I agree with the above comment- neat to see faith and science together! Thank you for visiting my blog. I'm rather new to blogger- how did you find my site? I'm sure my friend Alyssa would appreciate some new business (ie, drawer pulls on Etsy).

Also, are you the main artist for ALL of those Modern Classic Etsy shops? You sure are busy....and talented!

  3. Hi Leanne...I don't quite remember how I stumbled across your site but it's lovely. I've already contacted Alyssa and I believe she has something in the works for me :)

Oh, and yes...I am Modern Classics! I do all of my own work...just had to seperate them into individual shops to appease my "organization obsession" :)
